Pediatric Physical Therapy
My daughter didn’t walk until she was 17 months old. At one year she couldn’t even crawl, so I drove 4.5 hours and took her to see Chris and Leslie in Simsbury and one week after that visit, she started crawling. We continued to see Chris and Leslie monthly for manual therapy and my daughter finally started walking–and now runs and jumps and climbs like other kids!

Pediatric Physical Therapy
We work with many teenagers, children, toddlers, and infants from 0-18 years of age. We approach pediatric patients the same way by using appropriate manual therapies to address underlying issues that are causing significant problems, pain, or delay of milestones. While utilizing the best of traditional minded physical therapy for neurological development education, motor development and re-education to improve the ability to function, perform a task, or meet specific milestones.
There are many reasons why a child or a baby should be evaluated and obtain treatment. There are some common diagnoses below. Also, childbirth can be traumatic to the baby causing a host of physical tension patterns that will create symptoms and problems down the road. Manual therapies for babies are very gentle but effective and include Craniosacral therapy, gentle indirect Myofascial Release, Integrative Manual Therapy, and neuro facilitation techniques. They help to remove tension patterns causing symptoms and issues and allow more normal development throughout early life.
